ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT

If I could I'd like to put on my "racists hat" for a moment and mention two words White supremacists often use to help manage the practice of deception and make the things they say believable.

The two words are:

INDEED

and

CLEARLY

It is very interesting to see how the White supremacists use these words on their victims; and the effects they have. These two words are "articles of agreement" and they function to "level the playing field" by giving the illusion that everyone is in agreement with what is being said.

Lawyers use them all day long.

In the case of the word "Indeed", it serves to minimize what ever words follow it.

EXAMPLE:

"Indeed, Black people are under disavantage..."

"Indeed, Civilians were killed by the bombing..."

"Indeed, Justice would be a good thing..."

These statements are usually followed by the word "But" and thats where the deception comes back in. Its and example of how the White supremacists leave through the front door and come back in through the back door.

In other words, the word "Indeed" makes contradictions easier to accept because it causes people to think you are all in agreement, when whats really going on is its gets the Black people to relax their guard by giving the appearance that everyone is in agreement.

The other term to watch out for is "clearly"

When a person starts out a statement by saying "clearly", you can almost always be certain that some deception is on the way.

EXAMPLE:

"Clearly, White *privilege* is an unfortunate consequence of the legacy of slavery..."

"Clearly, racism is a problem that affects us ALL in very *unfortunate* ways..."

Getting the victims of racism on the same page as the racists (leveling the playing field) is the first step in removing the foundation of the non white persons arguement.

And this is why White people do it.

In other words, "if we are all in agreement and we are all the same, why are you bringing up this race stuff...we are all Americans...United we stand, bla, bla, bla..."

Words like these disarm the victim because they can no longer tell if/when/where the opposition to Justice is comming from.

The way you counter this tactic is by

ASKING QUESTIONS

Be advised.

Very interesting post Josh.

What questions should be asked from a person practicing counter-racism?

The "short" answer to the question of what words should be asked; the codified answer is :"Questions that reveal truth."

In the aforementioned senario concerning the articles of agreement "indeed" and "clearly", you should take the focus of the discussion back to the color dynamic; back to the White over non white equation. In short, back to racism/White supremacy.

Black person: "Statistics show that even Hispanics get stopped by the police for no reason and harrassed..."

White person " Well thats *unfortunate*, CLEARLY there are some communications issues between law enforcement and the Latino community, INDEED Hispanics can be of any race so the statistics may be misleading..."

Now, its at this point where you hafta get the focus back on color instead of "Hispanics" and "Latinos" . A codified Black person would have never used the term "Hispanic" because the White person is gonna pick that term up and run with it. Counter racist language is specifically design to avoid such situations. Counter racist language may seem wierd or over comprehensive at first, but once you start discussing racism with White people, you will see its utility, or should I say NECESSITY.

In this case the Black person could say: "Im specifically referring to the non white Hispanics, Why are they being stopped and harrassed and what do you suggest they DO to counter this type of mistreatment?"

When discussing racism always ask White people what victims of racism should do to counter it.

In any unjust situation, the people with the most ABILITY always have the most RESPONSE[ABILITY] to correct incorrectness and produce Justice.

White people know this. When the earthquake, famine, drought, hurricane...whatever, strikes anywhere in the world, its not a question of IF White people are gonna help, its just a question of how much help they will provide.

Josh,

Could you write out a brief conversation, based on your experiments with white people, on what a non-white person using racist language would say in a conversation with white people, and a brief conversation, based on your experiments with white people, of what a non-white person using counter-racist language would say in a conversation with white people?

Yes, please do that. I need some examples and scenarios to practice with.
I'm trying to get my language mastered. I had a discussion with Smallz
days ago and was almost blasted because I had no idea what I was really
talking about. He helped me a little. But, I need more help cause I'm
very much in need of it.

Thanks

Before I write out the conversation, I'll point out a few pieces of code.

1. If a White persons makes a statement, ask a question to clarify the statement. Remove all doubt, vagueness, ambiguity about what they said. Try to avoid answering a statement with a statement. Repeat their statement back to them using counter racist language and ask them if its what they mean. Keep doing this until you have a their statement in codified language that they agree with.

2. If a White person asks a question, pick out the nouns and/or verbs and replace them with counter racist terms,

minority=nonwhite person

"hate"=racism White supremacy

wrong=incorrect

Black man=Black male...

Repeat the question back to them using these terms and ask them if this is what they mean.

If its not what they mean, have them rephrase the question.

Take the rephrased question and pick out the nouns and/or verbs and replace them with counter racist terms...

Keep doing this until you reach agreement about what they mean.

When you get to this point, answer the question.

Let me consult my transcripts and I'll give an example.
