Epidemic: Pronunciation Key

Any action that is the result of something someone says and/or something someone does.

Reason/Explanation:
The way this word is currently used it is assigned to a condition that exists. The condition, whether it is said that "AIDS has reached epidemic proportions", or "We expect a flu epidemic because of the lack of vaccine", is always caused by something someone or some people say and/or something someone or some people do.

The word epidemic is sometimes assigned to an organism and not a condition which makes its use even more confusing.
