Suggestion:
Always ask the person assigning you tasks why you have been assigned the task.
Reason/Explanation:
Usually, when a non-white person has been given a task to do by a white person, the non-white person hardly if ever asks the white person "why" they have been given the task and/or "why" the task needs to be performed.
It is always a good idea to have as much information about what needs to be done, how it needs to be done and why it needs to be done in order to do the best possible job.
